What Is Ferry Times Now?

Ferry Times Now is a free website built for one purpose: show you the next ferry between Seattle and Bremerton, instantly.

We combine schedules from both Washington State Ferries (WSF) and Kitsap Transit Fast Ferry into a single, clean view — sorted by the next departure. No toggling between two websites. No scrolling through PDF timetables. Just open the page and see your answer.

What Makes Us Different

Both ferries, one view. We are the only site that combines WSF car ferry and Kitsap Transit Fast Ferry schedules side by side for the Seattle-Bremerton route. Whether you are a walk-on commuter choosing between the 30-minute Fast Ferry and the 60-minute car ferry, or you need to get your vehicle across, you see all your options at once.

Delay predictions powered by real data. Our delay prediction system is built on analysis of thousands of actual sailings on the Seattle-Bremerton route. We track patterns like cascade delays (when one late departure causes the next sailing to run late too), weekend effects, and seasonal variations. Each departure shows a color-coded prediction so you can plan accordingly.

Live vessel tracking. See exactly where the ferry is right now. Links to WSDOT Vessel Watch and terminal cameras let you check conditions before you head to the dock.

No app required. Ferry Times Now works instantly in any browser on your phone, tablet, or computer. No download, no account, no subscription. You can also add it to your home screen for an app-like experience.

Who Built This?

Ferry Times Now was created by a Kitsap County local and community advocate. The idea came after running the successful “Friends of the Fast Ferry” campaign in 2016 — a grassroots effort that helped bring Fast Ferry service back to Kitsap. After seeing how many people relied on ferry schedules across multiple websites, the goal became clear: put everything a Bremerton ferry rider needs in one place, and add the delay intelligence that nobody else offers.

Our Data

Our delay predictions are based on continuous analysis of real WSF sailing data for the Seattle-Bremerton route. We track actual departure times versus scheduled times, identify patterns in delays, and build predictive models that get smarter over time. This is not guesswork — it is data science applied to your daily commute.
