Bremerton Ferry Fares & Tickets

Current fares for both Washington State Ferries (WSF) and the Kitsap Transit Fast Ferry on the Seattle–Bremerton route. Fares are subject to change — always confirm on the official sites linked below.

🎉 Youth 18 & under ride free on both the Washington State Ferry and the Kitsap Transit Fast Ferry.

WSF Car Ferry Fares (Seattle–Bremerton)

Walk-on passenger fares are collected westbound only (Seattle→Bremerton); walk-on passengers ride free eastbound (Bremerton→Seattle). Vehicle/driver fares are collected in both directions. A passenger riding in a vehicle pays the walk-on fare only on the westbound crossing.

Walk-on passengers (one-way, westbound)

  • Adult (age 19–64): $11.35
  • Senior (65+) / Disability: $5.65
  • Youth (age 18 & under): Free
  • Bicycle surcharge (rider 19+): $1.00 (free for youth)

ORCA, cash, card, and the Wave2Go app accepted.

Vehicles (driver included)

  • Car under 14 ft & driver: $21.30
  • Standard car under 22 ft & driver: $27.00
  • Car under 14 ft & senior/disability driver: $18.45
  • Standard car under 22 ft & senior/disability driver: $24.15
  • Motorcycle & driver: $11.80
  • Oversized vehicles: priced by length, from $40.00

Vehicle/driver fares are collected each direction. Passengers in the vehicle pay the walk-on fare separately, westbound only (youth 18 & under free).

Multi-ride & passes

Frequent riders can save with ORCA-loaded passes: a 10-ride passenger commuter card is $92.80, and a 31-ride WSF monthly pass is $148.50. Vehicle multi-ride cards are also available. See the official WSDOT fares page for current pricing.

Kitsap Transit Fast Ferry Fares

The Fast Ferry is passenger-only (no vehicles). Fares differ by direction.

Rider Eastbound (Brem→Sea) Westbound (Sea→Brem)
Adult (full fare) $2.00 $13.00
Youth (18 & under) Free Free
Senior (65+) / Disability (RRFP) $1.00 $6.50

Reduced fares require a Regional Reduced Fare Permit (RRFP) ORCA card — confirm current amounts with Kitsap Transit. Bikes ride at no extra charge (first-come, first-served racks).

Why the price difference by direction?

The lower eastbound fare encourages commuters heading into Seattle. The higher westbound fare reflects the premium of the 30-minute crossing versus WSF’s 60-minute trip.

World Cup game-day service

⚽ On Seattle World Cup game days (June 15, 19, 24, 26, July 1, July 6), the Fast Ferry runs extra evening sailings so fans can get back later. See the game-day schedule · Bremerton Fan Zone guide.

Payment methods

ORCA card: Accepted on both WSF and the Fast Ferry — tap at the terminal reader before boarding. The fastest, most convenient option.

Contactless tap-to-pay (Fast Ferry): The Fast Ferry now accepts a tap of any contactless Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express card, or a phone wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay). Take the card out of your wallet so the reader doesn’t scan the wrong card, and each rider taps their own card.

Cash: Accepted at WSF terminal booths. The Fast Ferry takes exact fare only — no change is given.

Ticket kiosks & cards: ORCA vending machines are at both Fast Ferry terminals; WSF booths and kiosks take credit/debit. WSF also offers the Wave2Go mobile ticketing app for walk-ons.

Quick comparison: WSF vs Fast Ferry

For a walk-on adult traveling round-trip from Seattle:

Option Over (Sea→Brem) Back (Brem→Sea) Round trip
WSF car ferry (60 min) $11.35 Free $11.35
Kitsap Fast Ferry (30 min) $13.00 $2.00 $15.00

The State Ferry is the cheaper and more scenic ride; the Fast Ferry premium buys a crossing that’s half the time. Either way, youth 18 & under ride free. Not sure which to take? See the FAQ for a scenery-vs-speed breakdown.
