What is the Bremerton Fan Zone?
The Bremerton + Kitsap County Fan Zone is an official SeattleFWC26 Fan Zone — one of nine across Washington — produced by the Downtown Bremerton Association. It’s a free, all-ages outdoor gathering built around the matches, in Quincy Square, a pedestrian plaza on 4th Street. During events 4th Street is closed to cars and the square fills with:
- A 20-foot outdoor LED screen on the bandstand, broadcasting the matches
- An outdoor beer garden and rotating food trucks and vendors
- Themed community days — live music, kids’ activities, markets, and DJs
- An indoor backup: the historic Roxy Theater screens the games inside if the weather turns

Which boat should you take?
First time on Puget Sound and the weather’s nice? Take the 60-minute Washington State Ferry at least one way — it’s the more scenic, relaxing ride, with room to walk around, indoor or open-deck seating, skyline and Olympic Mountain views, and a dining area selling food and drinks (including beer and wine) plus vending machines. The 30-minute Fast Ferry is quicker and more compact: you stay seated and see the water through the windows, but it’s a fast hop rather than a cruise.
From the Bremerton dock to Quincy Square
Both ferries land at the Bremerton Transportation Center (10 Washington Ave). It’s about a 5-minute walk to 4th Street — and the nicest route goes through Harborside Fountain Park (📍 251 1st St), past naval-history monuments and fountains, leading right up into the Fan Zone. Get directions straight to the watch party in Quincy Square.

🚗 Bringing your car? Make a Kitsap loop
The 60-minute Washington State Ferry carries vehicles, so a match in Bremerton can turn into a full day exploring the quieter west side of Puget Sound — far less traffic than Seattle and the I-5 corridor. Two easy ways:
- Round trip: drive onto the Seattle→Bremerton ferry and return Bremerton→Seattle.
- Full loop: ferry over to Bremerton, drive north through Kitsap County, and catch the Bainbridge Island→Seattle ferry back — circling Puget Sound without backtracking.
Kitsap is full of waterfront parks, small towns, and viewpoints along the way. Drivers: this route is first-come, first-served (no reservations) — arrive 30–45 min early on summer weekends and around match times.
What’s unique about Bremerton? A front-row look at the U.S. Navy
Most visitors don’t realize Bremerton is home to one of the largest naval installations in the United States. The region hosts three bases handling surface vessels (aircraft carriers and others), submarines, and unmanned systems. The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS) is a strategic U.S. Navy asset — and the first thing you see as your ferry approaches downtown. Roughly half of downtown Bremerton’s waterfront is the shipyard.
- USS Turner Joy museum ship — tour a real Vietnam-era Navy destroyer, known for firing some of the last shots of the Vietnam War, docked on the downtown waterfront.
- Harborside Fountain Park (📍 Directions) — the waterfront park between the terminal and the shipyard; walk past naval-history monuments and infographics up to Quincy Square.
- Puget Sound Navy Museum — free exhibits on the region’s shipbuilding and naval history, steps from the terminal.
