Seattle–Bremerton WSF Car Ferry Schedule

Washington State Ferries runs the Seattle–Bremerton car ferry 15 times a day in each direction, seven days a week, between Colman Dock (Pier 52) in Seattle and the Bremerton ferry terminal. The crossing takes about 60 minutes. The first boat leaves Bremerton at 4:50 AM and the last boat leaves Seattle at 12:50 AM. The timetable below comes straight from WSDOT’s live schedule feed, so it changes automatically when WSF switches seasons (the next change is the Fall schedule on September 20, 2026).

Car ferry facts riders ask about

Crossing time About 60 minutes dock to dock. Plan 75 minutes door to door including loading.
Reservations None. The Seattle–Bremerton route is first come, first served for vehicles and walk-ons.
Walk-on fare Adults $11.35, collected only when leaving Seattle (the Bremerton to Seattle direction is free for walk-ons). Youth 18 and under ride free. See Fares & Tickets.
Vehicle fare Car under 14 feet including driver $21.30 each way, collected in both directions.
Vessels Kaleetan and Chimacum normally serve the route. On days a vessel is pulled for maintenance WSF runs a reduced timetable, which is why the live chips above can show fewer than 15 sailings.

Car ferry or Fast Ferry?

Take the WSF car ferry when you are bringing a vehicle, travelling on a Sunday or holiday, travelling midday on a weekday (the Fast Ferry has no sailings between about 8:40 AM and 1:50 PM), or travelling after 7:40 PM. Take the Kitsap Transit Fast Ferry when you are walking on during weekday commute hours and want the 30-minute crossing.
